The dragon walks
With the beast of the sea
I feed them my own blood
They whisper to me
The second coming’s now
The serpent is reborn
Turn your eyes to the horizon
To the master of the storm
And bear witness
He brings darkness
He brings flood
Is it raining crimson?
Are we covered in blood?
Oh god, and it’s a red that stains
His eyes sewn shut
His world absent of light
The mind is eternal
Too broken to fight
Too scattered among the ashes that fall
Like snow, light like feather
To bury us all
Take him now, that he’s weak
Judas’ grave is wide enough
Put him deep beneath our feet
Where the ground is dry and tough
Should he wake, he’ll be trapped
In a world that he began
There’s no god, there’s just dirt
Out of which arose a man like me
The giants walked until they fell
And the paradise turned into hell
I survived the night
And I slept through the day
When I opened my eyes
It was night again
